Porcelain Veneers

Veneers (also known as porcelain veneers or porcelain laminates) are often used by Dr. Chris Hatae to improve the appearance of teeth or protect the surface of a damaged tooth. They are not used to replace lost or removed teeth. These issues require dental implants. Veneers are made of extremely thin, tooth colored shells that cover the surface of teeth. These shells are designed and bonded to the front of teeth which ultimately changes the color, size, shape and even length of the tooth. They can be made from either porcelain or resin. The benefit of porcelain veneers is that they better resist stains and mimic the properties of natural teeth. The procedure is minimally invasive and can be completed in one or two visits. Results of veneers can last up to 15 years.

Reasons why veneers are prescribed:

  • Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped anterior teeth
  • Discolored or stained anterior teeth
  • Worn down, chipped or broken anteriors teeth
